Starting this Saturday Monday, the Los Angeles Sports Journal will be providing an in depth preview of the westside’s 11 high school and two junior college football teams. The tentative schedule is after the jump and is subject to change.

Aug 13th: University
Aug 14th: Hamilton
Aug 15th: Westchester
Aug 16th: Venice
Aug 17th: St. Bernard
Aug 18th: Santa Monica
Aug 19th: Culver City
Aug 20th: Brentwood School
Aug 21th: Windward School

    Carlos Herrera is a beast on the defensive line, but the seem to be the biggest question make out of all the teams on the Westside.

    A lot of it has to do with the veer offense they run and the tough non-league schedule. They could be much better team and still end up with similar 2-8 record from last season. It all depends how well they can execute early.

    I’m heading over there tomorrow to talk with coach Perry Jones.
