Kevin Brockway Named New Venice High Baseball Coach

Cal State LA assistant Kevin Brockway has been named the new varsity baseball coach at Venice High School.

Brockway has an extensive history coaching baseball on the westside. During his time as head coach at Santa Monica High, he guided the Vikings to the CIF finals in 2007 and three straight Ocean League titles from 2005-07.

He also was the head coach at Santa Monica College and an assistant coach at Pepperdine and West Los Angeles College.

A Venice High alum, Brockway is excited about returning to his alma mater.

Former Venice High Football and Baseball Coach Kirk Alexander has Died

An email from Venice High’s PTSA group announced that former football and baseball coach Kirk Alexander has passed away.

Alexander, a 1976 graduate from Venice High, had been a teacher at his alma mater for the last 26 years including recently serving as the coordinator of the campus’ New Media Academy.
