Girls Basketball: Nwaba has 30 points for University in win over Palisades

Precious Nwaba had a season-high 30 points for University as the Wildcats picked up a big league victory in a 66-36 win at home over Palisades.

University head coach Ronald Cass liked how his team play against a well coached Palisades squad.

“We defiantly wanted to come out with more energy tonight than last game,” said Cass. “We wanted to be the aggressor [and] tonight was probably the best I’ve seen my team play all season long.”

Brittany Martin had 16 points and Emily Cameron added nine for the Wildcats (17-8, 5-5).

Palisades’ (11-19, 7-4) Kylie Mizushima had 10 points to lead the Dolphins.

University lead 29-15 at halftime.

Schemerhorn less Venice falls to LACES

Just three days after upset University, Venice fell victim to its own upset with a 48-24 loss to LACES.

Jenny Aceret led the Gondoliers (11-15, 4-7) with 10 points as leading scorer Sarah Schemerhorn had four points beforing injuring her knee.
