This is the an interview that the LA Sports Journal had with the late Robert Taylor, former head football coach at Santa Monica College talking about NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson. It took place in Spring of 2007 before the Urban Football Coaches Association clinic.
Chad Johnson Cut by the Miami Dolphins Following Arrest
A day after being arrested for domestic battery, six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Chad Johnson was cut by the Miami Dolphins. Head coach Joe Philbin said the decision was not based solely on the incident but that he did fit the overall image of the team at a press conference earlier today.
On Saturday, Johnson was arrested after an altercation with his wife, “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada. According to police reports, the newlyweds had a fight where Johnson allegedly head-butted Lozada leaving a three-inch cut to her forehead. He was released from a Brownard County, Florida jail after posting a bond for $2,500.
Johnson played football at Santa Monica College from 1997-1999.
